This video demonstrates a simple device known as a fin keeper.  These are such a simple idea and are very important for deeper freediving.  A fin keeper simply slides over your foot and then the heal of your fin to keep them securely locked in place.  What would happen if you were kicking for the surface for a much needed breath and your fin popped off??

OMER has put together quite a few videos that we felt were worth sharing here.  They are all filed under instructional and even though they are specific to OMER products, they do give you some insight into some of the products / options available today and their proper usage.

This video demonstrates the strength and versatility of Dyneema braided lines.  We believe that Dyneema is the best line available and you will notice that we use it to tie bands, on reels, as wishbones, in bungies, etc.  You may have heard of Spectra line instead of Dyneema, but they are in fact the same line.  Spectra is Honeywell’s branded version of the DSM’s original Dyneema.  Here is a full definition for your reference:

Dyneema is a superstrong polyethylene fiber produced using a patented gel spinning process. This remarkable fiber is up to 15 times stronger than steel and, weight-for-weight, is 40% stronger than competing aramid fibers. It has high energy absorption, is extremely durable and resistant to moisture, UV light and chemicals. In the United States, DSM (inventor of Dyneema) has granted a license to Honeywell. The Honeywell product is sold under the brand name Spectra.
