The task of loading a large band gun can be a very daunting task if you are not aware of the proper technique. The purpose of this guide is to give you a written account of the steps, but the best example is to see it done. We have an excellent video demonstrating just this, and will provide a link to it at the end of this document.
Let’s get to it.
1. First get yourself settled and comfortable in the water. Please remember that it is best practice, for safety reasons, to always load your gun in the water.

2. Get a good grip of the gun’s handle with your left hand.
3. While holding the handle near the left side of your body, reach out with your right hand and grasp the right side of the gun’s band. You should now be comfortably holding the handle in your left hand and band in your right.

4. Now for a little muscle. Tighten your grip on both the handle and band and thrust the gun forward with your left hand while keeping your right arm extended. Place the handle of the gun in the center of your chest. Do this in one swift and complete motion.

5. Once you have the handle of the gun securely seated in the center of your chest, release the handle and reach up for the left side of the gun’s band with your left hand.

6. You are now ready to pull the band down with both hands and secure it into the shaft’s notch or tab.

7. If you need to adjust the band so that the wishbone is even in the notch, now is the time to do it.
8. And that is it…
