How does the mask fit effect fogging?

“If a mask fits poorly, you will have to contend with leaking, fogging, and other discomfort. ”

Answer:

The leaking associated with a poor fit often adds to fogging problems.  The leaking water washes your anti-fog solution off the inside of your lens and in turn increases fogging.
