Handle fish on Scuba by oil rigs?

Question:

I only spearfish with scuba gear. Most of our hunting is done around rigs in gulf of mexico. Looking for a method of attaching a gun to a float or boat that won’t be cumbersome or unsafe. Can’t surface every time I take a fish.  I would like to be able to shoot large fish and not lose gun. Also would like suggestions for attaching SS loop stringer to dive gear.

How to shrink heat wrap on bands?

i am tying my own bands and i want to use heat shrink wrap to cover tying line, like what comes on store bought bands ,(like riffe) how do you shrink the heat wrap without direct flame ,(would damage rubber bands)

What do i use for a push rod?
