85cm Immersion - switch to single band?

Question:

I use a 85cm Imersion Pelagic Essentiel
with (18mm, 21cm length bands). I was curious as to the benifits I would recieve by switching to a 20mm, 24cm lenght band.

Pros and cons of multiple bands

Question:

What are the pros and cons of say a one 20mm band as apposed to two 16mm, and or three 14mm bands?  Does the pondage work out about the same?

Loosing fish on the way to the surfce…

Question:

Every time I spear a fish, on my way to the surface, it gets loose.  I am hunting in the reefs and kelp in Southern California with an AB Biller 48 special with 3 bands.  I have shot 4 or 5 calico that just literally slipped right off.  Please help

Inexpensive entry level gun?

I am a beginner spearfisher, I have used home made spears for fishing before, and I wanted to go up to the a higher level.
